If worship is the heart of the church, fellowship is the life blood. If you’re not aware, this congregation loves to eat, loves getting together, and loves celebrating God’s love and His many blessings. One member of our congregation was overheard telling someone, “Resurrection serves more meals than the Marriott!”

In our FELLOWSHIP OF BELIEVERS there are specialized groups that enhance this function outside of the worship services. These events are coordinated by the FELLOWSHIP COMMITTEE.
During the week, you can eat lunch on Wednesdays after the 12:10 pm Holy Communion service, and dinner Wednesday Nights between children’s musical activities and the committee or Church Council meetings, for a nominal fee. On special occasions, we pull out all the stops to have wonderful food and a great time of being together as a church family.
Some events that include fellowship and “special meals” are:
Advent Night – This is a night of food, singing, crafts and fun to help us prepare for the birth of Christ. Some of the highlights include edible manger scenes and making Christmas ornaments.
Confirmation Dinner – honoring our confirmands and their immediate families each spring.
Dinner on the Grounds – A picnic lunch in the fall with special activities for all ages!
Easter Breakfast – What a glorious way of celebrating the Risen Lord! A sumptuous array of food and flowers make this a beautiful time of fellowship. The Annual Easter Egg Hunt – Is enjoyed by children of all ages. Mother’s Day Tea – A special luncheon in the spring, hosted by WELCA
Rally Day Breakfast – A pancake breakfast with all the trimmings that celebrates the beginning of the new church Sunday School year.
Shrove Tuesday Meal – Another pancake extravaganza on “fat Tuesday” before Ash Wednesday.
Red Door Cafe – Several times during the year our youth host “restaurant style” dinners for the congregation
