Ways to Serve at Worship

Lay Communion Assistants: Help lead worship by reading scripture, offering prayers and petitions, and assist with communion at all worship services.

Acolytes: Youth participate in the worship service by lighting the candles and assisting in communion.

Ushers: Assist members and guests at worship by handing out bulletins, escorting people to pews when necessary, offering hospitality, directions, and collecting offering.

Sound System Volunteers: Record Sunday Worship Services on CD’s for shut-ins and others in the congregation who may be interested.

Counters: Members rotate responsibility for counting and recording the offerings that were collected at Sunday School, worship services, love offerings and memorials.

Altar Guild: Prepare the altar and chancel with appropriate paraments, seasonal banners, and set up for communion each Sunday and for any special services.
